HEALTH CARE

SPIRITUAL DIRECTIVE PROJECT
The project seeks to improve the health and well-being of patients by identifying spiritual factors relevant to patient care, and strengthening relationships between a patient’s religious or spiritual community and healthcare providers. This project grew out of a Grace Institute consultation, At the Time of Diagnosis, held in 2002.

URBAN LIVABILITY

CITY CAMP PROJECT
City Camp was launched as a pilot program for 30 middle-school students in August 2002. The students studied the ecology of the city, focusing on the Willamette River. Grace Institute developed a River Story curriculum for the camp which challenged the students to recognize, value, create and maintain a sustainable environment. The City Camp Pilot Project was documented through photography, poetry, drawing, and journal making.
